There are several
scholarships available specifically for students attending or planning
to attend a private high school in the US state of Indiana.
Most
of these are tuition scholarships, though some cover other expenses,
too. Most are need-based, though some are merit-based, and some are a
combination of the two. Check our general
private school scholarships
page, too. The scholarships
listed below are those that are specifically for students in
Indiana. This doesn't mean that Indiana students cannot get
other
(more generic scholarships) that are available not only for Indiana
students but also students from other states.
1)
Educational Choice Trust:
Foor private,
parochial or public schools. Scholarships of up to $1,600 are given to
each student. Around 750 students are awarded every year. In order to
qualify, the student must be living in the Marion county (i.e. around
Indianapolis), and should fall under the income range of the federal
reduced-price lunch program. Grants are given annually in July, and
parents are the ones to make the choice of school.
