
There
are several scholarships available specifically for students attending
or planning to attend a private high school in the US state of
Colorado. Most of these are tuition scholarships, though some
cover other expenses, too. Most are need-based, though some are
merit-based, and some are a combination of the two. Check our general private school scholarships
page, too, for more options. The scholarships listed below are those
that are specifically for students in Colorado. Some of the
cities whose citizens are qualified for these scholarships include (but
are not restricted to) the following: Arvada, Aurora, Boulder, Colorado
Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood,
Longmont, Loveland, Northeast Jefferson, Pueblo, South Aurora,
Southwest Arapahoe, Thornton, West Adams, Westminster (and other
Colorado cities, towns, districts, etc.). This doesn't mean that
Colorado high school students (or prospective high school sctudents)
cannot get other (more generic scholarships) that are available not
only for Colorado students but also students from other states.
1) Alliance
for Choice in Education (ACE) Scholarships:
For
high school, as well as elementary and middle schools. Provides up to
50% of private school students. Scholarships continue for four years,
and are up to $2,000 for elementary and middle school students (K-8),
and $3,000 per year for high school students (grades 9 through 12).
Available for students whose families qualify for the federal free and
reduced price school lunch program. These are renewable scholarships,
renewable for 4 years. Prospects of winning is around 10 to 15%.
Parents could choose any one of the 200 schools present in the school
network of the ACE. Switching schools is also possible.

2) Byrne Foundation Scholarships:
Provides
scholarships to around 30 students every year in Denver, Colorado area
(e.g. places like Arvada, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Westminster,
etc.). Students need to be academically talented to qualify. Some of
the scholarships cover partial tuition while some cover full tuition
costs.

3) Parents' Challenge Scholarships:
Provides
scholarships to students pre-K through 12th grade, as well as training
for parents and students. These are need-based scholarships, and are
provided to students in the Colorado Springs
area.
