High School Scholarships:
You can find, on our pages, a list of leading scholarships for high school students.  Both need-based and merit-based scholarships and financial aid resources are listed here, and you do not need to be registered to access these.  Our pages are organized according to grade level in high school; in fact, this is the first and only website to follow this organization.  First, depending on your grade level, visit our main pages (see the icons at the top left corner): Freshman ScholarshipsSophomore Scholarships, Junior ScholarshipsSenior Scholarships. You could also reach a list of general scholarships for high school students, where scholarships are listed irrespective of grade level.

High School Scholarships available for students in US & Canada:
The scholarships listed on this website are currently available for high school students in the U.S. By browsing through the main pages of our site (see top left corner), organized according to the grade level in high school, you will notice that there are many scholarships available for high school freshman, sophomores and juniors, as well as seniors; that is, if you were one of those students thinking that you need to wait until the senior year to apply for scholarships, you are wrong! So start now. The National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS) (Wei et al., 2009)¹ and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) (Ingels & Dalton, 2008)² conducted by the US Department of Education indicate that though there are fewer scholarships available for students before the senior year, since there are also much fewer students applying for these, your chances of landing on a scholarship as a freshman, sophomore or junior are much higher.  Most scholarships have some quotas specifically for freshman, sophomore and junior students, and hardly anyone applies for these.  Thus, start early, and increase your chances.

Though most scholarships listed on our pages are college scholarships specifically for high school students, some are also for middle school students or high school graduates planning to enroll in a college or university.  Again, though some scholarships are specifically for public schools or private or parochial schools, most are for students in any type of high school (but mostly for those planning to go to a college or university). You can navigate through the site by clicking on the buttons on the left hand side. If you have any suggestions or comments or want us to add a scholarship or financial aid resource for high school students, please e-mail us at info@highscholarships.com. We regularly update our pages/scholarships listings with new scholarships based on the emails we receive from scholarship providers. The scholarships currently listed on our pages are valid for 2011 and 2012.

Depending on your interests, you can also visit our other pages that are not directly related to high school scholarships, such as those on middle school scholarships and elementary school scholarships. If, on the other hand, you are looking for scholarships to attend a private high school (i.e. not college or university), then, visit our new private high school scholarships page.
